NOFFZ Campus Officially Inaugurated

The Greatest Milestone in NOFFZ History

One Year After Groundbreaking for the New Company Building

Toenisvorst, October 30, 2023 / The largest construction project in the more than 30-year history of NOFFZ Technologies GmbH is now complete: A future-oriented new building that serves as both a development and manufacturing center has emerged on a land area of 15,500 square meters. Last Friday marked a significant moment as the NOFFZ Campus was officially inaugurated.

The inauguration ceremony was a memorable event attended by distinguished guests, including Dr. Plum, Member of the Bundestag, Ms. Oellers, Member of the State Parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia, Dr. Coenen, District Administrator, Mr. Leuchtenberg, Mayor of Tönisvorst, Mr. Dohmen and Mr. Anacleto of Sparkasse Krefeld, Mr. Laarmann and Ms. Better from Althoff, as well as our valued employees and their families. This celebration marked an epic milestone in the development of NOFFZ Technologies GmbH.

What originally began in 1989 in Wilfried Noffz’s basement has, in its second generation with Tobias Noffz, Markus Solbach, and Manuel von Helden, grown into an impressive global company. In recent years, with a focus on innovation and sustainability, the company has undergone significant development.

NOFFZ Technologies would like to take this moment to express heartfelt gratitude to all our supporters, especially our dedicated employees. “We would like to thank our employees in particular, who together develop many exciting projects with our customers and continuously produce new solutions that we implement and install worldwide,” says Markus Solbach and Manuel von Helden, Managing Partners.

The construction of this significant company headquarters was not only a milestone for the builders but also for the Tönisvorst region and the Viersen district. The modern 5,500 m² building complex of NOFFZ’s corporate headquarters extends over a land area of 15,500 square meters and includes development, administration, and manufacturing facilities, as well as a generous garden area. In its full expansion, this impressive project provides space for approximately 300 employees.

The NOFFZ Campus stands out not only for its impressive and modern architecture but also as the result of years of intensive planning. The new facilities are perfectly tailored to the company’s needs. At the heart of the building is the innovative ‘Kombibüro’ concept, which allows for both individual work in small teams and collaborative work in a specially designed central zone. The office spaces also feature high-quality acoustic heating and cooling ceilings and an abundant green concept.

In addition to these comfortable workspaces, significant investments were made in research and development facilities. The laboratory rooms are equipped with high-quality measurement technology, allowing for complex measurements of the latest technologies. The generously sized manufacturing hall was designed to enable the production of large systems and is geared towards the serial production of test systems.

Sustainability and energy efficiency are central to the NOFFZ Campus. In the Viersen district, the building sets new standards for commercial structures of this kind. With the highest energy efficiency standard EG 40 EE and a full-surface photovoltaic system with around 400kWp capacity, the company is well on its way to achieving its vision of becoming carbon-neutral. E-charging stations provide the necessary energy for vehicles.

Tobias Noffz, Managing Partner, is delighted with the result and emphasizes, “At this point, I would like to express a huge thank you to all project participants who realized the new company building in 311 days. The building architecture and space offer us great opportunities to optimize our processes along the entire value chain. With our state-of-the-art workspaces in a pleasant working environment, we once again confirm that we are one of the most attractive employers in the region. However, what excites me most is being able to realize our visions with all colleagues in our new ‘home.'”
