Radar Solutions

Precision Radar Testing for Unmatched Safety and Performance

In the automotive industry, radar technology plays a crucial role in enhancing vehicle safety and enabling advanced driving functionalities. Modern vehicles rely on radar sensors to detect and monitor their surroundings in real time, providing essential data for collision avoidance, adaptive cruise control, and other critical systems. As automotive radar continues to advance, the demand for highly accurate and reliable testing solutions becomes increasingly important.

Why Radar Accuracy is Essential

Radar sensors are at the core of many safety-critical features in today’s vehicles. From detecting nearby objects to accurately gauging distances and speeds, these sensors must operate flawlessly under all conditions. The margin for error is incredibly small – —every scenario must be accounted for, from routine driving situations to unexpected events. Ensuring the precision and reliability of radar systems is vital for maintaining the safety and functionality of modern vehicles.

Innovative Radar Testing Solutions

In addition to Short-Range Radar (SRR), Mid-Range Radar (MRR), and Long-Range Radar (LRR), new sensor types such as Imaging Radar, Forward-Looking Radar (FLR), and In-Cabin Sensing (ICS) have been introduced. This shift requires sophisticated testing systems that can handle the increased complexity and performance demands of modern radar sensors. At NOFFZ Technologies, we specialize in creating advanced radar testing solutions that meet the highest industry standards. Our systems are designed to test individual radar sensors and their integration within larger vehicle systems, ensuring that they perform reliably in every possible scenario.

Partnering for Quality and Safety

NOFFZ Technologies is dedicated to supporting the automotive industry with state-of-the-art radar testing solutions. By providing the tools and expertise needed to verify the performance and safety of radar systems, we help ensure that your vehicles are equipped with the most reliable technology on the road. With our innovative testing solutions, you can be confident that your radar systems will meet the stringent demands of modern automotive applications.

Choose NOFFZ Technologies for precision, reliability, and the highest quality radar testing solutions. Together, we can drive the future of automotive safety and performance.

NOFFZ radar test systems are categorized according to production stage and measurement method. A distinction is made between validation and high-volume end-of-line environments.

Each has its own specific detailed requirements. Direct Far Field (DFF) and Compact Antenna Test Range (CATR) measurement setups are available.

Furthermore, NOFFZ offers specific test solutions such as in-cabin monitoring test solutions for 60 GHz radar sensors, radome tests for radar sensor enclosures, front grilles, bumpers, emblems and more radome positioning optimization solutions.

INDEPENDENT SEPARATED

DUT motion by goniometer on turntable

Radar test system UTP 5063 with goniometer

To move the radar sensor inside the anechoic chamber, NOFFZ developed a 2-axis goniometer on a turntable. During calibration of the sensor, azimuth sweeps are performed at a fixed elevation.

INDEPENDENT AND SIMULTANEOUS

DUT motion by 6-axis robot

Radar test system UTP 5063 with robot

The advanced motion option for a radar sensor is a 6-axis robot, as it allows azimuth and elevation sweeps and a free choice of the basic coordination system within the anechoic chamber.
